I am very happy to organize the IV. National Acupuncture Congress with International Participation.

We shall convene at the Porto Bello Hotel in Antalya, on 15-17 September 2006 and are expecting numerous participants from Turkey and abroad.

Prof. Dr. Nickolay Nikolaev, the new chairman of ICMART and Secretary General, Dr. François Beyens, are among prominent participants to this congress. We also count among our speakers, Prof. Dr. Helmut Niessel from the Ludwig Bolztman Institute, Dr. Emil Iliev, Dr. Oskar Mastalier, Dr. Deflef Schikora and Dr. Manfred Reininger. Dentist Ali Eşref Müezzinoğlu will make a very special presentation about “Patient and Doctor Relations”. Numerous interesting subjects will be presented and discussed and workshops will be organized on various subjects such as “Disrupting Areas and Acupuncture” by Dr. Oskar Mastalier, “Alopecia” by Prof Dr. Nicolay Nikolayef, “Different Traditional Acupuncture Schools and Treatment Methods” by François Beyens and “ Ear and Body Acupuncture Points with a Pharmacological Impact” by Op.Dr.Mehmet Fuat Abut.

The month of September is the best month for visiting Antalya. Our hotel is a select five star hotel with a beach and leisure activities. You will have the possibility of listening, learning, discussing, resting and enjoying your stay in a pleasant atmosphere.

Also a first in Turkey, we shall have an international jury assess and present awards to the best Visual Presentation, the Best Poster and the Best Scientific Presentation.

We also plan to organize a Pre-Congress Seminar to make our Congress more attractive. The seminar will be free of charge, take place between 14.00-17.45 on September 14,2006 and include the following presentations “Pharmacological Impact of Acupuncture” by Op. Dr. Mehmet Fuat Abut, “Contribution of Acupuncture to the Treatment of Diabetes” by Dr. Nüzhet Ziyal, “Comparison of the Impact Mechanisms of Hypnosis and Acupuncture” by Ass. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Çorak and “Why Science” by Prof. Dr. Kaya Özkuş.

We shall try to offer the best of technology to our participating colleagues.

IV. National Congress of Acupuncture with International Participations which was founded early in the 2001 by the three director’s being together from different acupuncture assosiations, will be between 15th & 17th of 2006 September in Antalya.

During preparatory period, these three directors, gives good samples of being together under the same culture just for great progress to be achieved.

Day by day with these congress, Acupuncture forms the foundation stones of being a part of science.
